Michael W. Foote, MD is a board certified ophthalmologist with more than 20 years of experience. He has been practicing in El Paso since 2002 and is the founder of Sun Laser Vision Center.
A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Foote attended the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston for medical school and completed his medical doctor degree in 1998. After finishing a one-year internship in internal medicine also at the University of Texas Medical Branch he began his training in ophthalmology residency. He attended Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas and graduated from the program in 2002.
While specializing in vision correction surgery including LASIK, PRK, ICL and refractive lens exchange, Dr. Foote also focuses on comprehensive ophthalmology in cataract surgery, corneal surgery, eye trauma and plastic surgery the eyelid.
Dr. Foote is an El Paso native and a third-generation physician. His grandfather, father and sister are all physicians. Dr. Foote has participated in frequent medical mission trips to Guatemala and Mexico. When outside of the clinic he enjoys competitive swimming, water skiing and playing golf.
Dr. Foote warmly welcomes and currently is accepting new patients and looks forward to caring for and improving patient vision and eye health.
